Yes. Our ACLS course is available in both Initial and Renewal formats. The renewal pathway is structured to focus on updates to resuscitation guidelines and reinforcement of core competencies, while the initial format covers the full curriculum from the ground up. Both result in the same two-year AHA ACLS eCard.
AHA Course Completion eCards are the universal standard for BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentialing at California hospitals, health systems, and outpatient facilities. The eCard is digitally issued and verifiable. That said, if your employer has a specific credentialing requirement — such as a particular AHA course number or provider level — we recommend confirming their requirements before enrolling.
Your AHA Course Completion eCard is issued digitally, typically on the same day you successfully complete your skills assessment. There’s no waiting period, no physical card delivery, and no follow-up process required.
We generally recommend initiating renewal at least four to six weeks before your AHA eCard expiration date. Some California hospital credentialing departments will flag certifications that are within 30 days of expiration as non-compliant — meaning you may face patient care restrictions even before the card technically expires.
