Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your CPR and BLS certification classes located in Sausalito, CA?

We host all of our in-person skills testing at our Sausalito training center. You can find us at 1 Harbor Drive, Suite 344, Sausalito, CA 94965.

Which organizations certify your training courses?

We provide official certification through three major organizations. Our BLS, ACLS, and PALS courses are certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). Our standard CPR and First Aid courses are certified by the American Red Cross. We also offer EMSA-certified safety courses.

How does the hybrid 'Online & Skills' format work?

The hybrid format saves you time by splitting the course into two parts. First, you complete an online learning module at your own pace. Once you finish the online portion, you come to our Sausalito office for a short, hands-on skills test. The online section usually takes one to three hours, while the in-person skills test takes between 30 minutes and two hours, depending on the specific class.

What is the difference between certification-level courses and online-only courses?

Our certification-level courses use the hybrid format, requiring an in-person skills test to earn a valid certification card. We also offer online-only Adult CPR AED and First Aid courses. These cost $40 and take one to two hours to complete, but they do not require a skills test and do not provide an official certification card.

Which course should I take if I am a healthcare professional?

Healthcare professionals should take our American Heart Association (AHA) certified courses. Depending on your specific job requirements, you will likely need the BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Advanced medical staff may also need ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).

How long do the ACLS and PALS certification courses take to complete?

Both the ACLS and PALS courses use the hybrid format. You will spend about two to three hours completing the online coursework. After that, you will visit our Sausalito office for a quick 30-minute hands-on skills test.
