Frequently Asked Questions

What are ACLS and PALS certifications, and how are they different from BLS?

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) are advanced American Heart Association certifications that build on BLS skills to cover complex cardiac emergencies. ACLS focuses on managing cardiac arrest, stroke, acute coronary syndromes, and advanced airway management in adult patients. PALS targets emergency assessment and resuscitation for critically ill infants and children. Both courses are required for physicians, emergency nurses, ICU staff, and paramedics working in high-acuity environments. Each certification is valid for two years and must be renewed to maintain compliance with hospital and licensing requirements.
