BLS (Basic Life Support) renewal courses are designed specifically for healthcare professionals and include more advanced techniques like team-based resuscitation and the use of bag-valve masks.

How long does it take to complete a CPR, BLS, or First Aid renewal course in Redwood City?

Most renewal courses take around 2 to 4 hours, depending on the type. CPR and First Aid renewals are usually 2.5 to 3 hours, while BLS renewals can take up to 4 hours due to the more in-depth content.

Are AHA CPR and BLS certifications accepted by hospitals and employers in the Bay Area?

Yes! AHA certifications are widely recognized and accepted by hospitals, clinics, and employers throughout the Bay Area, including Redwood City. Many healthcare employers specifically require AHA certification for employment or clinical practice.

Can I take a blended (online + in-person) CPR or BLS renewal course in Redwood City?

Absolutely. Many training centers in Redwood City offer AHA’s blended learning format, where you complete an online portion at your own pace and then attend a short, in-person skills session for hands-on practice and testing.

How often do I need to renew my AHA CPR, BLS, or First Aid certification?

AHA certifications are valid for two years. It’s recommended to renew before expiration to stay current with guidelines and maintain uninterrupted certification, especially for those in healthcare or public safety roles.

Where can I find reliable AHA-approved CPR and BLS renewal classes in Redwood City?
