Cpr injuries during CPR courses

Pre-existing Injuries - Modified Work Duty

Performing CPR can be physically demanding.

Chest compressions on a manikin may strain your hands, wrists, arms, or body. If you have pre-existing wrist issues, such as pain, carpal tunnel, weakness, or an injury, it’s best to wait until you’ve recovered before attending a CPR class.
If you are pregnant, consult your doctor before enrolling.

Additionally, if you’re on modified work duty, taking a CPR class is not recommended.
