The American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider CPR class is for people currently working or students going into the medical or healthcare field. This course is for renewal or first time students.

Topics covered: CPR for all age groups, choke-saving, AED use, 2 person CPR, bag valve mask, pocket mask & rescue breathing.

Cost: $80 (cash or check, no cards)
Length: About 3 hours
Location: 598 Vermont Street, San Francisco
Parking: Lots of free street parking
Certification: American Heart Association
Card: Valid 2 years, receive card on day of class.

Who is required to have BLS Certification
Doctors, nurses, nursing students, CNAs, nursing assistants, dentists (CE credits provided by CA Dental Board), acupuncturists, physical therapists, physician assistants, massage, EMTs, paramedics, phlebotomists, lifeguards, medical & healthcare professionals & anyone going into the medical or healthcare field.

How can I be sure that this is the real BLS class?
This is a very good question since many students come to us after attending an unofficial BLS class and their card was not accepted at their worksite. If you work in the medical or healthcare field in the San Francisco Bay Area, you must have the American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider card.

Cancellation Policy for the BLS Course
Email us back your name and date of class if you want to cancel. Beware of other BLS schools that ask for you to pay before the class and then offer no refunds if you miss or cancel your class. Students only pay for the training if they arrive and attend.

Online BLS Classes
Is it possible to take a BLS renewal or a BLS course over the computer? I get this question a lot from students. Unfortunately, there is an internet scam that has been around for about 2-3 years where students can take an online BLS certification class. These companies trick people into thinking they are taking an official American Heart Association class. A student goes to a website, pays about $50 and then prints out a fake BLS card all within about 10 minutes. The student did not practice on manikins, did not watch any videos, did not read, and did not take a test. Spread the word and prevent other people from losing their money and getting ripped off by this internet scam.
